This 64-page coffee table book is dedicated to guitarist John Mayer. The design is inspired by the theme of the "ghost note," one of his talents. It’s a square-sized book using white glossy paper to highlight John Mayer’s skill. The concept is reflected in a neat and simple page layout. The entire project visually captures the spirit of the blues.
The book evokes nostalgia through a vibrant blue color palette, embodying the essence of blues music. The typographic treatment enhances the portrayal of the artist’s life, conveying power and iconography akin to John Mayer himself. The predominant symbol of the project is the "X" sign, representing the ghost note technique. Above all, the book’s visual identity distinguishes itself with a timeless design concept.
